Signature serve design

A drink that could only be yours.

A signature serve is a drink built from a brief: your product, your colours, the story you want guests to repeat. We develop it in our studio, balance an alcohol free version alongside it, and design the glass, the garnish and the moment it is served.

It then goes to work on a Drink Differently cocktail bar, staffed by the mixologists who developed it, so the drink tastes at the event exactly as it did in the studio. The studio is also where we photograph and film each serve, so you can see it, and share it, before the day.

From brief to glass

  • A short brief covering the brand, the audience and any product the drink should feature
  • A drinks list developed and refined in the studio
  • Glassware, garnish and presentation chosen to be photographed
  • A serving plan, batched, built or theatrical, depending on guest numbers

In short

What is a signature serve?

A signature serve is a drink designed for one brand or one event, so it could not be poured anywhere else. It starts with a brief: the product, the colours and the story the brand wants guests to remember. Drink Differently develops each serve in its Manchester studio, balances an alcohol free version alongside it, and chooses the glass, the garnish and the moment of service so the drink photographs as well as it tastes. Techniques include logos and names printed onto crema, etched glassware, dry ice, smoke bubbles, flaming serves, liquid nitrogen and cocktail caviar. The serve is then poured at the event by the mixologists who created it, which keeps it consistent from the first guest to the last. Signature serves can run on their own, on a branded cocktail bar, or be produced in cans for gifting and fast service.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How long does it take to design a signature serve?

Most serves are developed during the consultation stage, inside the four to eight week lead time we recommend for a full event. Simpler serves can be turned around faster.

Can every serve be made alcohol free?

Yes. Every signature serve is developed with a balanced alcohol free version, so every guest can have the same drink.

Can our logo go on the drink?

Yes. We print logos and artwork onto the crema or foam, etch glassware, brand ice and print cans. The right choice depends on the drink and the numbers.

Can a signature serve be canned?

Yes. A serve developed in the studio can become a branded can for launches, gifting or fast service. See custom canned drinks.
